Excitement greeting is one of the most controversial dog training and NYC dog parenting topics. The classic debate is between nurture and according to a lot of trainers discpline and getting your dog on board to behave in a way that is respectful and healthy for your dog overall. Some Manhattan pet parents see the tail wagging and over-excitement of jumping up and down and bouncing off their owner’s legs or body as cute– the dog merely expressing that they missed the owner.
