Healthy Dog Treats

By February 21, 2013March 26th, 2015No Comments

Many people love to lavish food treats on their dogs: bacon and cheese snacks, pig ears, and an endless stream of table scraps. But all those indulgences come at a hefty price. It may be time to consider healthy dog treats. 🙂

In other words, skip the cheesy chews and bring on the baby carrots.

Carrots contain vitamins B, C, D, E and K, as well as calcium, potassium, phosphorus, sodium and iron. Carrots can also help significantly improve eyesight. Ideally vegetables should make up 20 percent of your dog’s daily food. Try mashing the carrots up or covering some in peanut butter to entice your dog to try it.

Some other at home options….

Broccoli, Sweet Potato, and Celery!

Some of the top brands are listed below….
