It’s that special time of year when your cute pup gets take their cute factor to all new heights! Whether you’re making your own DIY outfit (twinsies anyone?) with your pup you’re running to your local popup Halloween store.

Haunted Hound Halloween party!

Reservation is for 2 people and their dog(s). If you have 2 dogs signed up for sPAW CITY you can bring both with this ticket. This event is only open to dogs who have all online paperwork filled out and are good to play at the park. This is a private reservation only event. Tickets will not be sold at the door.

Help Support The Friends Of Valley Stream Dogs! Join us at the dog park for our annual Howl-O-Ween Party. Come see local vendors and rescue groups, participate in our doggy costume competition, and enjoy raffles and fun. All are welcome (you don’t need to be a member for this event). Costume contest will be at 1pm, entry $10 (free to members of Friends of Valley Stream Dogs). Party is free, Costume contest $10 to non-FOVSD members. Howl-o-ween Smushed Costume Faced Party!

In Home Pet Services, Inc., is hosting their annual Smushed Face Spooktacular Meetup at Petco in Glen Cove, on Saturday, October 25, 2014, 1pm – 3pm.  Attendees can bring their smushed faced pups in their spookiest, most creative Halloween costumes! The smushed face pups can enjoy romping around in the meet up area, refreshments for humans and four-legged pals alike! This is a FREE event, but a professional pet photographer will be on hand to get pooches scariest howl-o-ween pictures – and all proceeds from the photos will go to S.N.O.R.T.  For more info contact Heather at heather@inhomepetservices.com.

This annual event has a rain date of Sunday, October 26th from 3 to 7 pm.  All dogs must be on-leash at all times. There will be tons of raffles and merchandise to purchase too! Raffles will be drawn at 6:30. The dog costume contest will be held at 4:30. There’s a $10 entry fee per dog. 3 winners will be selected by a special panel of judges! The Thirteenth Annual BPC Halloween Puppy Parade 

STARTS at Noon, on the BPC Esplanade at the SOUTH Cove wooden arbor. The parade will proceed from the South Cove in a northerly direction on the Esplanade to the plaza area near the North Cove Marina (where the volleyball courts are usually set up) where your dog (and maybe you) will be judged on your costumes.

Great PUPkin Dog Costume Contest
at Fort Greene Park starting at 7pm. The 16th Annual Great PUPkin Dog Costume Contest starts at 11am. Rain date is Sunday, October 26th. Thee contest takes place at the Fort Greene Park monument stairs at 12:00pm. Registration begins on the monument plaza at 11:00am. Check out the largest (and growing annually) dog costume contest in Brooklyn!

Saturday and Sunday, October 25 and 26, 10am-5pm.  On Sunday of Dog Days, enjoy our Fall Dog Festival! The festival features exhibits by animal welfare organizations, vendors, and rescue groups. Sunday, October 26, displays and activities 1-4pm, costume contest and parade at 3pm. Howl & Prowl Halloween pet costume party in Greenwich

 This October marks the seventh year for the entertaining Howl & Prowl Halloween pet costume party in Greenwich that attracts hundreds of owners and their dogs who come together for an afternoon of fun to benefit pets in need. On Sunday, October 26th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. dogs in novelty outfits will be on parade at Greenwich Common Park (290 Greenwich Avenue). All proceeds from the Howl & Prowl Costume Party in the Park go to the Adopt-A-Dog animal rescue organization. The awareness and spotlight that Howl & Prowl brings to this sanctuary is wonderful. The events of the day will feature a pet costume contest that awards $600 in prizes consisting of various Pet Pantry Warehouse gift certificates to the winners, free refreshments, free photos with well known pet photographer and free caricatures by noted local artist.
